If you would like to link an already registered domain name to a service operated by MediaCenter, the easiest way to do so is to transfer it to us in one quick operation and manage it easily through the MediaCenter Web Hosting Settings.

The transfer means that the domain transferring to Mediacenter from another provider, also known as a registrar switch.

Domain transfer step-by-step:

• Submit a transfer request via the MediaCenter online ordering interface
• After payment, our system will send you the pre-filled documents required for the transfer
• Once the documents have been returned by email, we will start the transfer process and notify you of its success by a separate message
  • for .hu domains: 1 working day
  • for .eu domains: immediately
  • for .com, .net, .org domain names: 3-5 working days

Important!

If you have a live website or even a working email service linked to the domain name you want to transfer, it is necessary to order a hosting service along with the domain name.

In this case, arrangements must be made before the necessary documents are returned:

• Uploading the content of the website to our hosting
• Setting up the e-mail addresses used in our Web Hosting Settings

If these steps are completed, your website will not experience any downtime during the transfer.

MediaCenter Customer Support will check that content has been uploaded before starting the transfer process, so if any of these steps are inadvertently missed, you will be notified separately to ensure that there is no downtime for your website.
