Email data backup

In the case of accidental mail deletion, we can provide server-side data backup of mailboxes under certain conditions.

The first thing to check is what protocol is used for mailing (this must be checked on the client side, because this determines whether your company has a backup), because it is only possible to backup on the server side if the mailer is connected to the mailbox using IMAP, because then the mail is stored on the server.

In the case of POP3 protocol, the mail is downloaded in the user's mail client and only the mail is stored there, i.e. no server-side backup is possible, because in that case the mail is stored on your computer!

If IMAP was used, yes, we have a backup of the mail. Backups are available for 1 week back, which were made at dawn and for mail in your mailbox. When the backup is performed, the old mail will appear in the mailbox alongside the new mail, so the old mail will be copied back to the mailbox.

You can request a data backup by contacting our Customer Service:

• You can send your order by e-mail (mediacenter@mediacenter.hu) from the contact e-mail address associated with the service
• You need to specify the exact date of the restore (1 week backups are available)
• Indicate for which mailbox the backup is requested

After processing the order, our Customer Service will confirm the exact amount to be paid, which will be received and processed before we start the fulfillment!
